I don't see in the Bible where Christians believed God was within you. God's Holy Spirit can dwell within you, but God the Father resides in heaven. God the Son appeared on earth;

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

There are many discriptions of "The Kingdom of God" as being a place in heaven. There is one reference of the Kingdom of God being in our hearts as something we should always keep before us knowing it is our final destination.

Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Mark 14:25 Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.

Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

John 14:2-3 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (heaven)

First century Christians were all believers in a heavenly home. They also believed that at the moment of death they would go there.

Sure. As a JW I had thought God was a crazy Terminator hell bent on squashing me like a bug at Armageddon at the first sign of imperfections.

I did a lot of research on OT books. Looked at them in context. Compared the nature of God versus the nature of Jesus.

Deuteronomy 7:7-9 The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

Deuteronomy 7:13 And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

Deuteronomy 10:19 Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

The entire book of Hosea is a picture of God's love and Hosea is instructed again and again to go get his wife who returned to prostitution. At one time he had to buy her back.

Hosea 14:4 I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him.

Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save,he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

Zechariah 8:17 And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.

The God of the OT was full of love and compassion. He forever reached out to His children. God hates sin, sin separates us from God. Jesus shares the same nature as the Father. While on earth Jesus was still equel in nature but subordinant in function. God and Jesus both are;

Omnipotent, Omniscient, all loving, just, full of grace, faithful, etc..God the Father stills draws all people to His love through the blood of Jesus.

2 Kings 2:23 And he went up <`alah> from thence unto Bethel <Beyth-'El>: and as he was going up <`alah> by the way <derek>, there came forth <yatsa'> little <qatan> children <na`ar> out of the city <`iyr>, and mocked <qalac> him, and said <'amar> unto him, Go up <`alah>, thou bald head <qereach>; go up <`alah>, thou bald head <qereach>.

the word "little" actually is the Greek word qatan which does not mean little in size but in number. There were a few of them.

"ren" translated "children" actually means someone as old as a young man, such as a gang. If you translate this into todays language it would look more like this; these dangerous young men were gang bangers and were intent on killing the prophet of God.

I don't have a problem with this since death is not the end. These gang bangers recieved justice in their earthly life, and in the afterlife, wherever they ended up.

Jesus' mother was human and His Father was God the Creator. He is fully human and fully God.

According to the Bible, whether you believe it or not, it calls Jesus- God manifest in the flesh.

Jesus willingly gave up His form as God, He willingly came to die, willingly emptied himself. Jesus was not robbing God the Father by being equel with Him because Jesus is God manifest in the flesh.

How do you feel about Tatoos?

i feel very offended and distrurbed when i see people covered with tatoos.

some people have tatoos all over their bodies, even on their faces.

there are also tatoo programs on the tlc channel that children can watch without a forewarning before the show comes on.

creepy words to K Hall "hymn"

do any of you have the creepy words to the hymn with the line "loyal submission, in recognition..." when i heard it sung, it made my skin crawl because i knew they were actually singing to the organization not to jehovah.

it made me think of a facist rally and i realized this was mind control at its best--music has been shown to be a huge indoctrinational (is that even a word?

) tool.
